In recent weeks, DCODE has been working with a number of clients to help them implement technology as a way to better manage their operations. It's been amazing to see how simple online tools can have such a big impact on how a business operates. In this post, we share some of the ways in which these tools have helped these businesses.

There are many examples of how technology has assisted businesses in improving their operations. But here are two examples from the past week:

1. Email Across Devices

In this day and age, most of us use several devices - be it tablets, smart phones, laptops, desktops. But often businesses do not synchronise the data across these devices meaning staff have to continually visit the office, or call staff at the office.

Implementing cloud-based email and document management systems allow access to information from any device anywhere. This allows staff to be productive from anywhere using any device and to be able to respond to client needs in a timely fashion. At the same time, these tools also give the business the ability to manage this information - allowing for better project management and monitoring of client needs.

2. Getting Paid: Invoicing

Often, accounting and invoicing can be difficult tasks in the business - many businesses rely on an off-site accountant or use stand-alone software installed on a single computer to process their invoices. This can result in difficulty in completing and managing invoicing as well as monitoring outstanding debts. And for small businesses, this can be vital to cash-flow and ultimately viability of the business.

However, there are apps available to manage your invoicing online ... and they're FREE! These apps provide cloud-based accounting along with preparation of invoices. They can also assist you in managing which invoices have been paid and which are outstanding - allowing you to manage these debts. With a simple click, you can also activate credit card transactions - allowing you to accept payments from your customers via credit card.

As you can see, there are some great tools available for business that won't break the bank. The key is choosing the right tools that will best suit your needs.

There are alot of cloud-based tools available online - some are great, others are not. Having been in the industry for some time, we have gone through many to identify which ones provide the best results. And that's how we can be of assistance to you.

If you're looking to implement technology in your business, contact us to find out how we can be of assistance. We can help to find tools and programs that will assist you in your operations. And if we can't find something suitable; we can build a custom system for you!
